Not a US Citizen?
How Wyoming Works for International Citizens
If you are not located in the US, or are not a US Citizen and need a US company, we may be able to set up an LLC for non-US citizens in Wyoming for you or you can purchase one of our aged shelf companies. We can establish a non-citizen’s Wyoming LLC or corporation if we have your contact information, the name that you want to use for your company, who is going to be the director of the company, along with a scan of that person’s passport and payment.
You do not have to be a US citizen to own or be a part-owner of a C-Corporation or LLC. The only limitation is that you can not start or be an owner of an S-Corporation, directly.
We can set up LLCs for non-US citizens in Wyoming within about seven working days. The costs of Wyoming LLCs for Non Residents are the same as they are for anyone else, except for the cost of shipping you the kit via International FedEx service so that you can get the package from us in a timely manner.
If you need a bank account in the US you must come in person to the US so the bank can verify your ID. There is no other way to do that. Most banks in the United States will require that you also have a US tax ID. You may be able to open a bank account in another country with the paperwork we send you. You would need to check with the bank you wish to use to see what their current policy is. You will also need a US tax EIN number for the company. We cannot help you get an EIN and this is needed to open a bank account in the US.
All of the services and prices mentioned on this page are explained in detail on how to incorporate a business. Although we can form a Wyoming LLC or corporation in Wyoming for many non-residents, we cannot help you open a bank account nor can we help you get a tax ID (EIN) number. The only way you can get an EIN number is to first get an ITIN number from the IRS. We suggest you get the ITIN number before you get a company from us, as that will save you headaches and wasted money if you are not able to get one.
Although we are not required by law to verify who you are, it is our company policy to get a copy of your passport, for our files, in case there is ever a question of who we dealt with.
Please note, we cannot establish Wyoming companies or LLCs for non-US citizens if you are from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Western Balkans, Burma, Liberia, Zimbabwe, or if your name appears on the OFAC list of blocked persons or companies. That list can be accessed from this link:
